*continued story* "You're upset, Malikai, I can feel it. Why?" Michiko asked, stretching her little hand out and putting it on Malikai's face. She frowned, and then pulled away after a moment. "Aw! I can't see anything! Is it because I'm sick?" Michiko dismally wondered. Michiko had these strange powers, Grandma called them psychic. Michiko could sense when someone was angry, sad, afraid, or just about anything. She also said she could see things before they happened. Malikai didn't know where she got those weird powers, but he hated them. But now, she couldn't see what he was thinking? Because of the cold? "Finally!" Malikai muttered under his breath. A time when he could think what he wanted in peace without his sister's creepy, nosy powers! Michiko still whined about her lost abilities. "Hey, maybe your powers will come back when you get better, and the way to get better, faster, is to take this medicine." Malikai attempted to persuade for the final time. "Come on, Michi, don't make me force it down your throat." Michiko pouted and reluctantly eased her mouth slightly. Malikai slipped the spoon in, Michiko tasted it then gagged, causing Malikai to lose grip on the utensil and drop it. The medicine spilled all over Michiko's nightgown. "Aw, my nightgown!" Michiko complained. Malikai smirked. "It’s your own fault, you should've taken the medicine and not complain." Suddenly, the two siblings heard their grandmother's voice floating from the back room. "Malikai, have you given Michiko her medicine yet?" "I'm trying Grandma!" Malikai yelled in answer. He whirled around. "Come on, Michiko, hurry and take the medicine and then you can change your outfit." He poured more medicine and at last, Michiko complied and took it. *ended*
